Kinlytic and Ramipril Tablets
Determining the interaction of Kinlytic and Ramipril Tablets and the possibility of their joint administration.
In the database of official manuals used in the service creation an interaction registered by statistical results of studies was found, which can either lead to negative consequences for the patient health or strengthen a mutual positive effect. A doctor should be consulted to address the issue of joint drug administration.
Consumer:Using urokinase together with ramipril may cause angioedema, a condition associated with swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, throat, and occasionally also the hands and feet. Each medication alone can also cause angioedema, but the risk may be increased when they are combined. Angioedema can occur with the first dose of medication or after many doses. You should discontinue the medications and seek immediate medical attention if you develop symptoms of angioedema or have difficulty swallowing or breathing. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Professional:MONITOR: Coadministration of a tissue plasminogen activator with an angiotensin enzyme converting (ACE) inhibitor may increase the risk of angioedema and anaphylactoid reactions. The mechanism is unknown. Cases of orolingual angioedema have been associated with alteplase administration; many of these patients were also receiving ACE inhibitors.
MANAGEMENT: It is recommended to monitor patients for adverse reactions during concomitant therapy.
