Levulan Kerastick causes skin cells to become more sensitive to certain types of light. Skin cells treated with this medicine will die and slough off after being exposed to a special light treatment.

Levulan Kerastick is used to treat actinic keratosis (warty overgrowths of skin) on the face and scalp. Levulan Kerastick is used together with a special light treatment, also called photodynamic therapy.

Adjunctive treatment of all forms of parkinsonian syndrome.

May be used as monotherapy for mild to moderate symptoms or in combination with other antiparkinsonian agents for severe symptoms.

Relieves muscle rigidity better than it does tremor; however, tremor, fatigue, weakness, and sluggishness frequently are relieved.

Control of extrapyramidal reactions induced by antipsychotic agents (e.g., phenothiazines).
