Ask your doctor before using lincomycin together with erythromycin. Using these medications together may cause either drug to be less effective. Contact your doctor immediately if your infection worsens. You may need a dose adjustment if you use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Professional:

GENERALLY AVOID: Lincomycin derivatives and erythromycin have antagonistic effects in vitro. The mechanism is competitive binding of the 50S ribosomal subunit.

MANAGEMENT: Clindamycin or lincomycin should not be used concurrently with erythromycin.
