Ethiodized oil injection is an oil-based radiopaque contrast agent. Contrast agents are used to help create a clear picture of the body during different medical procedures. These include:

• Hysterosalpingography (x-ray test that looks inside the uterus and fallopian tubes) in adults
• Lymphography (x-ray test that looks at the lymph vessels of the feet or hands) in adults and children
• Imaging of liver tumors in adults.

Midamor is a potassium-sparing diuretic (water pill) that prevents your body from absorbing too much salt and keeps your potassium levels from getting too low.

Midamor is used to treat or prevent hypokalemia (low potassium levels in the blood) in people with high blood pressure or congestive heart failure.

Midamor is usually given together with other medicines.
