Ludiomil and Propranolol
Determining the interaction of Ludiomil and Propranolol and the possibility of their joint administration.

A doctor should be consulted to address the issue of joint drug administration.
Consumer:Consumer information for this minor interaction is not currently available. Some minor drug interactions may not be clinically relevant in all patients. Minor drug interactions do not usually cause harm or require a change in therapy. However, your healthcare provider can determine if adjustments to your medications are needed.
Professional:Limited data suggest that propranolol may increase the risk of maprotiline toxicity. The proposed mechanism is decreased hepatic blood flow by propranolol, resulting in reduction of maprotiline metabolism. Patients should be advised to notify their physician if they experience excessive sedation, blurred vision, dry mouth, tremor, or ataxia. The dosage of maprotiline may need to be reduced if an interaction is suspected.
