Minor drug interactions do not usually cause harm or require a change in therapy. However, your healthcare provider can determine if adjustments to your medications are needed.

Professional:

Coadministration with tipranavir/ritonavir does not appear to significantly alter the plasma concentrations of maraviroc. In 12 study subjects, coadministration of maraviroc (150 mg twice a day) with tipranavir/ritonavir (500 mg/200 mg twice a day) reduced the peak plasma concentration (Cmax) of maraviroc by 14% and increased the trough plasma concentration (Cmin) by 80%, but had no effect on the overall systemic exposure. No dosage adjustment of maraviroc is necessary when coadministered with tipranavir/ritonavir in the absence of concomitant potent CYP450 3A4 inhibitors such as itraconazole, ketoconazole, delavirdine, clarithromycin, telithromycin, or nefazodone.
