Treatment of documented life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias (e.g., sustained ventricular tachycardia). Use for less severe arrhythmias is notrecommended.

Can reduce ventricular premature contractions (VPCs), paired VPCs, and nonsustained ventricular tachycardia and can suppress the recurrence of ventricular tachycardia and/or fibrillation in patients with ventricular tachycardia and/or fibrillation. Avoid treatment of asymptomatic VPCs.

Has been effective in some patients for the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias unresponsive to other antiarrhythmic agents.

Has been used with equivocal results in the management of painful diabetic neuropathy; pending further accumulation of data from well-designed studies, use only in patients who do not respond to or cannot tolerate more established therapies.

Brompheniramine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.

Codeine is a narcotic cough suppressant. It affects the signals in the brain that trigger cough reflex.

Phenylephrine is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels in the nasal passages. Dilated blood vessels can cause nasal congestion (stuffy nose).

Poly-Tussin AC is a combination medicine used to treat runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, cough, and sinus congestion caused by allergies, the common cold, or the flu.

Poly-Tussin AC will not treat a cough that is caused by smoking, asthma, or emphysema.
