Neomycin Sulfate topical and Zemplar Injection

Topically (in combination with other anti-infectives) to prevent or treat superficial skin infections caused by susceptible organisms.

May be useful for preventing infection in minor skin injuries (e.g., cuts, scrapes, burns).

Role of topical anti-infectives for treatment of superficial skin infections has not been fully elucidated.

Self-medication with topical anti-infectives to treat superficial skin infections currently is not recommended.

Treatment of serious or extensive skin infections usually requires systemic anti-infective therapy.

Short-term (≤10 days) continuous irrigation of the urinary bladder to prevent bacteriuria and septicemia (due to gram-negative bacilli) associated with use of indwelling catheters.

Has been used for peritoneal instillation and for irrigation of wounds or surgical sites; no longer recommended for these uses because severe toxicity may occur. (See Toxicity under Cautions.)

Paricalcitol is a synthetic (man-made) form of vitamin D. Vitamin D is important for the absorption of calcium from the stomach and for the functioning of calcium in the body.

Paricalcitol is used to help maintain healthy levels of parathyroid hormone in people with chronic kidney disease who are on dialysis.

Paricalcitol oral is for use in adults and children at least 10 years old.

Paricalcitol injection is for use in adults and children at least 5 years old.

Paricalcitol may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
