Nexterone and Taclonex

Nexterone (amiodarone) is an antiarrhythmic medication that affects the rhythm of heartbeats.

Nexterone injection is used to help keep the heart beating normally in people with life-threatening heart rhythm disorders of the ventricles (the lower chambers of the heart that allow blood to flow out of the heart). Amiodarone is used to treat or prevent ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation.

Nexterone is for use only in life-threatening situations.

Taclonex contains a combination of betamethasone and calcipotriene. Betamethasone is a steroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Calcipotriene is a form of vitamin D. It works by decreasing the rate of skin cell reproduction.

Taclonex topical (for the skin) is a combination medicine used to treat plaque psoriasis.

Adults may use the suspension (liquid) form of this medicine on the skin or the scalp. The liquid may be used only on the scalp in children who are at least 12 years old.

Taclonex topical ointment should be used only on the skin and only by adults.
