Consumer:Cholestyramine may interfere with the absorption of phytonadione. You should take phytonadione at least 1 hour before or 4 to 6 hours after cholestyramine. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions on how to take these or other medications you are prescribed. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Professional:ADJUST DOSING INTERVAL: Cholestyramine may impair the absorption of oral vitamin K.
MANAGEMENT: If oral vitamin K is given concurrently, it should be taken at least 1 hour before or 4 to 6 hours after cholestyramine.
