Osmolex ER is an antiviral medicine that blocks the actions of viruses in your body.

Osmolex ER is used to treat or prevent influenza A in adults and children. This medicine may not be effective during every flu season because certain strains of the virus may be resistant to Osmolex ER. This medicine should not be used in place of getting a yearly flu shot. The Centers for Disease Control recommends an annual flu shot to help protect you each year from new strains of influenza virus.

Osmolex ER is also used to treat Parkinson's disease and "Parkinson-like" symptoms such as stiffness or tremors, shaking, and repetitive uncontrolled muscle movements that may be caused by the use of certain drugs.

ReVia blocks the effects of opioid medication, including pain relief or feelings of well-being that can lead to opioid abuse. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic. This medicine is used as part of a treatment program for drug or alcohol dependence.

ReVia is used to prevent relapse in people who became dependent on opioid medicine and then stopped using it. This medicine can help keep you from feeling a "need" to use the opioid.

ReVia is also used to treat alcoholism by reducing your urge to drink alcohol. This may help you drink less or stop drinking completely. This medicine will not cause you to "sober up" and will not decrease the effects of alcohol you recently consumed.

ReVia is not a cure for drug addiction or alcoholism.
