Panobinostat Lactate and Vitetal Elixir
Determining the interaction of Panobinostat Lactate and Vitetal Elixir and the possibility of their joint administration.
In the database of official manuals used in the service creation an interaction registered by statistical results of studies was found, which can either lead to negative consequences for the patient health or strengthen a mutual positive effect. A doctor should be consulted to address the issue of joint drug administration.
Consumer:PHENobarbital may significantly reduce the blood levels of panobinostat, which may make the medication less effective in treating your cancer. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Professional:GENERALLY AVOID: Coadministration with potent inducers of CYP450 3A4 may significantly decrease the plasma concentrations of panobinostat, which is partially metabolized by the isoenzyme. The interaction has not been evaluated clinically, but simulations using physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models suggest an approximately 70% decrease in panobinostat systemic exposure.
MANAGEMENT: Concomitant use of panobinostat with potent CYP450 3A4 inducers should generally be avoided.
