Dextromethorphan is used to relieve coughs due to colds or influenza (flu). It should not be used for chronic cough that occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema or when there is an unusually large amount of mucus or phlegm (flem) with the cough.

Dextromethorphan relieves cough by acting directly on the cough center in the brain.

Hemoglobin carries oxygen through your blood to tissues and organs. Myoglobin helps your muscle cells store oxygen.

Sodium ferric gluconate complex is used to treat iron deficiency anemia (a lack of red blood cells caused by having too little iron in the body) in adults and children at least 6 years old. Sodium ferric gluconate complex is for people with kidney disease who are on dialysis.
