Consumer:Using oxytocin together with phenylephrine may cause significant elevations in blood pressure and increase the risk of hypertension. Blood pressure and heart rate should be closely monitored if these medications are used together. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
