Phenylephrine is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels. Dilated blood vessels can cause hemorrhoids.

Phenylephrine rectal is used on the rectum to relieve itching, burning, irritation, and swelling caused by hemorrhoids.

Vicoprofen contains a combination of hydrocodone and ibuprofen. Hydrocodone is an opioid pain medication. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic. Vicoprofen is used short-term to relieve severe pain.

Vicoprofen is not for treating arthritis pain.
