Ponstel is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). This medicine works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.

Ponstel is used short-term (7 days or less) to treat mild to moderate pain in adults and children who are at least 14 years old. This medicine is also used to treat menstrual pain.

Ziagen is used to treat HIV, the virus that can cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Ziagen is for adults and children who are at least 3 months old. This medicine is not a cure for HIV or AIDS.
