Consumer:

Consumer information for this minor interaction is not currently available. Some minor drug interactions may not be clinically relevant in all patients. Minor drug interactions do not usually cause harm or require a change in therapy. However, your healthcare provider can determine if adjustments to your medications are needed.

Professional:

Omeprazole may increase the absorption or interfere with the metabolism of at least one dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker (CCB)--nifedipine. The pharmacologic effect of nifedipine may be enhanced. Although unlikely to be of clinical significance, when omeprazole and a CCB are coadministered, monitoring for CCB toxicity should be considered.
