Adjunctive treatment of all forms of parkinsonian syndrome.

May be used as monotherapy for mild to moderate symptoms or in combination with other antiparkinsonian agents for severe symptoms.

Relieves muscle rigidity better than it does tremor; however, tremor, fatigue, weakness, and sluggishness frequently are relieved.

Control of extrapyramidal reactions induced by antipsychotic agents (e.g., phenothiazines).

Tolazamide is used to treat high blood sugar levels caused by a type of diabetes mellitus (sugar diabetes) called type 2 diabetes.
