Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Professional:

MONITOR: Prior administration of succinylcholine may enhance the neuromuscular blocking effect and increase the duration of action of vecuronium. Results are not consistent. One study indicated that vecuronium potency increased 1.66 times with previous use of succinylcholine. Another study showed no differences.

MANAGEMENT: Excessive neuromuscular blockade may be anticipated if these agents are coadministered and patients should be closely monitored.
