Tetrahydrozoline is a vasoconstrictor. It works by narrowing swollen blood vessels in the eyes to reduce eye redness.

Redness Relief Original (for the eyes) is for temporary relief of minor eye redness, swelling, or draining caused by minor irritants.

Redness Relief Original may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

• This medicine is not for use in children younger than 18 years of age. The benefits of taking Tuxarin ER (codeine and chlorpheniramine extended-release tablets) for a cough due to allergies, a cold, or other infection do not outweigh the risks in children. If your child has been given Tuxarin ER (codeine and chlorpheniramine extended-release tablets) or if you have any questions, talk with your child's doctor.
