Terfenadine is no longer on the market in the US. Do not take terfenadine with any other medication.

Professional:

GENERALLY AVOID: Zileuton has been shown to decrease the clearance of terfenadine by approximately 35% in one small study. The resultant increase in serum concentrations did not produce significant changes in ECG recordings and QTc intervals in healthy volunteers.

MANAGEMENT: The manufacturer recommends that these drugs not be coadministered due the high inter-individual variability of terfenadine pharmacokinetics.
