Acetaminophen is a pain reliever and fever reducer.

Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.

Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels in the nasal passages. Dilated blood vessels can cause nasal congestion (stuffy nose).

Sinarest (Acetaminophen, chlorpheniramine, and pseudoephedrine) is a combination medicine used to treat headache, fever, body aches, runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and sinus congestion caused by allergies, the common cold, or the flu.

Sinarest may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

• This medicine is not for use in children younger than 18 years of age. The benefits of taking Z-Tuss AC (codeine and chlorpheniramine liquid) for a cough due to allergies, a cold, or other infection do not outweigh the risks in children. If your child has been given Z-Tuss AC (codeine and chlorpheniramine liquid) or if you have any questions, talk with your child's doctor.
