Sodium chloride 23.4% injection is used to replenish lost water and salt in your body due to certain conditions (eg, hyponatremia or low salt syndrome). It is also used as an additive for total parenteral nutrition (TPN) and carbohydrate-containing IV fluids.

Zetran is a benzodiazepine (ben-zoe-dye-AZE-eh-peen). This medicine affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with certain conditions.

Zetran is used to treat anxiety disorders, alcohol withdrawal symptoms, or muscle spasms. This medicine injection is also used to treat a seizure emergency called status epilepticus.

Zetran is sometimes used as a sedative to help you relax before having surgery or other medical procedure.
