Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.

Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels in the nasal passages. Dilated blood vessels can cause nasal congestion (stuffy nose).

SudoGest Sinus & Allergy is a combination medicine used to treat symptoms of the common cold or seasonal allergies, including sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, and itchy, watery eyes.

SudoGest Sinus & Allergy may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

• This medicine is not for use in children younger than 18 years of age. The benefits of taking Z-Tuss AC (codeine and chlorpheniramine liquid) for a cough due to allergies, a cold, or other infection do not outweigh the risks in children. If your child has been given Z-Tuss AC (codeine and chlorpheniramine liquid) or if you have any questions, talk with your child's doctor.
