Tezacaftor/ivacaftor and ivacaftor combination is used to treat cystic fibrosis (CF) in patients 12 years of age and older. It is only used for patients who have two copies of F508del mutation, or who have at least one mutation in their CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene.
