Tolazamide causes the pancreas to produce insulin and increases your body's response to it.

Tolazamide is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Tolazamide is not for treating type 1 diabetes.

The benefits of taking Tuxarin ER (codeine and chlorpheniramine extended-release tablets) for a cough due to allergies, a cold, or other infection do not outweigh the risks in children. If your child has been given Tuxarin ER (codeine and chlorpheniramine extended-release tablets) or if you have any questions, talk with your child's doctor.
