Professional:Diclofenac reduces serum verapamil concentrations. The mechanism is unknown. In a study involving 25 patients, the area under the verapamil plasma concentration-time curve was decreased 26% after one week and 29% after four weeks of concomitant diclofenac administration. The clinical significance of this interaction is unknown. However, patients on concomitant therapy should be monitored for reduced verapamil efficacy.
