Xulane contains a combination of female hormones that prevent ovulation (the release of an egg from an ovary). Xulane also causes changes in your cervical mucus and uterine lining, making it harder for sperm to reach the uterus and harder for a fertilized egg to attach to the uterus.

Xulane (skin patch) is used as contraception to prevent pregnancy.

Zydelig (idelalisib) is a cancer medication that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body.

Zydelig is used together with rituximab (Rituxan) to treat chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and certain types of lymphoma.

Zydelig is given after other cancer treatments did not work or have stopped working.

Zydelig was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on an "accelerated" basis. In clinical studies, some people responded to this medicine, but further studies are needed.
